Yep, that’s me up there…before becoming a mama. No spit-up stains, well rested, glowing skin. When you see recent photos, just remember what once was!
Hello! I’m Amber.
Oh my, where to start? Let’s just begin with the most current events and work backwards.
In March of 2018, I became the mama to a real living and breathing (thankfully) miracle. Baby Rowan was born at 31 weeks weighing 1 pound and 1/2 ounce and was 10 inches long. Doctors told me he would surely die inside the womb because he wasn’t growing well. He proved them all wrong, and finally left the NICU and moved in with us after 186 days.
This year my husband, Alex, and I will celebrate a decade of marriage. Alex is the best person I know, and I wish I were more like him. We are DIYers who are still fixing up our fixer upper seven years later!
Prior to becoming a work-at-home mom for Rowan, I was a middle school language arts teacher. Staying home and raising my child has always been a dream of mine, so it was an easy transition. I love this opportunity I’ve been given.
Throughout our journey, God has shown us his faithfulness and power time and time again. Many times when we felt helpless, the only thing we could do pray and love Rowan to life.
I hope you’ll stick with me as I work to turn my pain into passion while I pursue life’s purpose.
